🧠 Quote of the Week
“Success isn’t owned. It’s leased. And rent is due every day.” – J.J. Watt
There’s no shortcut around consistency.
No single workout, long run, or race defines you.
It's the longevity of your work ethic.
The days you crush it.
The days you don't want to do it, but still do.
The commitment to keep showing up anyway.
Stack enough of those days together, and progress is inevitable.
🏆 Vitalizer of the Week: Jenna Myer
Jenna embodies everything VTLZR stands for.
From triathlon sprints and HYROX to marathons and 50.4 miles at Last Man Standing, she’s no stranger to doing hard things.
But what stands out most isn’t just the races.
After a serious car accident that left her in a back brace for months, Jenna didn’t just recover...she fought her way back.
And last night, she showed exactly what that resilience looks like, crushing her VO₂ max test.
Beyond performance, Jenna is a huge part of this community:
📸 Capturing moments as a photographer
🤝 Supporting others at events
⚡ Bringing positive energy wherever she goes
She continues to show up, push forward, and lift others up along the way.
That’s real VTLZR energy.
Keep leading, Jenna 👏

🔥 Fitness Tip of the Week: Fueling Is a Performance Multiplier
Race season is here and most athletes are still underfueling - especially in carb intake.
After our VTLZR+ call with Registered Dietitian Rachel Hannah (Maurten), one thing was clear:
👉 Carbs aren’t optional. They’re the engine.
If you’ve ever “hit the wall,” it wasn’t just fitness. It was fuel.
No matter how fit you are, you need them to perform.
A Simple Strategy
Before Training / Racing: Aim for a carb-based meal 2–3 hours before (think: oatmeal, rice, toast, fruit)
During Long Efforts (60+ min)
• Target 30–60g carbs per hour
• Advanced athletes: up to 90g/hour (with training)
After: Carbs + protein to replenish + recover
🔗 Want to go deeper?
We broke this ALL down in our VTLZR+ session with Maurten’s dietitian, including...
• Carb loading strategies
• Race-day fueling plans
• HYROX vs half marathon vs. marathon fueling

🎧 This Week's Must-Listen: Master Your Inner Voice (Huberman x Goggins)
If you’ve ever hit a wall mid-run, mid-race, or mid-workout — this is for you.
In this conversation, David Goggins breaks down how he built extreme mental toughness by mastering his inner dialogue, not silencing it, but confronting it head-on.
He shares how discipline isn’t about motivation or feeling good, it’s built through constant friction, honest self-reflection, and doing things you don’t want to do.
Goggins explains that growth comes from leaning into discomfort, not avoiding it. Every time you choose the harder path, you’re reinforcing willpower and reshaping how your brain handles stress and fatigue.
Bottom line:
At a certain point, performance isn’t physical anymore.
It’s how well you can control your mind under pressure.
Train your body, but don’t neglect your mind.
